Are you a furniture or homeware product designer looking for somewhere to trial your products?
The Retail Ready People project in Leeds have spent the last few months developing an unforgettable retail experience with the help of some top-notch retail training with mentors from the best of the creative and retail sector.
Their pop-up shop offers a range of affordable homeware products alongside prints and gifts from local artists and designers. The rest of the shop is taken up by an in-shop living room and art space housing an exciting programme of live music and cultural events in collaboration with some of the city’s best creative groups and organisations.
The shop is not-for-profit and also aims to create a flexible and exciting space for a selection of local artists and designers to sell their work.
Retail Ready People are already working with some great local creators and makers, but have recently secured their empty shop and have a little more space. They are offering the chance for you to sell your products in their pop up store, with low commission rates and free in-store and online promotion for every submission.
Retail Ready People are looking for: textiles / soft furnishing, stationery, lighting, decorative accessories, furniture.
The pop up shop’s focus is on affordable, creative homeware with an interesting yet accessible/useable design. The brief is quite open – they’d like to see what you’ve got!
As it’s a pop up shop the timescale is tight – the submission deadline is this Sunday 28th April. All products will be needed in store by Friday 3rd April, ready for shop fit and opening.
If you’d like to apply, simply email Retail Ready People by 6pm on Sunday 28th April. Successful applicants will be contacted on Monday 29th April.
